App name: Tonic

This Privacy Policy explains how Tonic (“Tonic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Tonic mobile application (“App”). Tonic is a personal beauty organization app that helps you manage your vanity products, follow official makeup tutorials, and keep a private beauty diary on your device.
By downloading, installing, or using Tonic, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Tonic is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, you must not download, register for, or use the App. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will take steps to restrict access to the App on that device.
Tonic is designed with a local-first architecture. Most information you create or store in the App — including vanity inventory, diary entries, tutorial preferences, account profile details, virtual coin balance, and VIP status — is saved on your device. We do not operate cloud servers to store or sync your personal beauty data.
Depending on how you use Tonic, the following categories of information may be stored locally on your device:
Because Tonic does not sync your beauty data to our servers, we generally do not receive, store, or process your vanity lists, diary content, profile photos, or tutorial notes on our own infrastructure. Your credentials for email sign-in are not transmitted to us; they are processed and stored locally on your device using secure hashing.
Tonic may request access to your device camera and photo library so you can add images to your profile, vanity products, or diary entries. Images you select are stored in the App’s local storage on your device. We do not upload these images to Tonic-operated servers. You can manage permissions at any time through your device settings, though denying access may limit photo-related features.
Tutorials shown in Tonic are official curated content provided within the App. Tutorial text, images, and steps are bundled with or delivered to the App for your personal use. Your interactions with tutorials — such as liking, collecting, unlocking, reporting, or blocking content — are stored locally for your account on your device.
If you choose to buy virtual coin packs or a VIP subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another authorized platform store (“Platform Store”). We do not receive your full payment card number or complete billing credentials. The Platform Store may provide us with purchase confirmation information needed to activate VIP benefits or credit virtual coins on your device.
Virtual coins and VIP access are digital items for in-app use only. They have no cash value and are not redeemable for money. Restore Purchases may re-apply eligible non-consumable entitlements, such as an active VIP subscription linked to your store account, according to Platform Store rules. Consumable virtual items that have already been used in the App cannot be restored once spent.
Information stored on your device is used solely to:
We do not sell your personal beauty data. We do not use your diary, vanity inventory, or profile content for advertising profiles based on server-side tracking, because that content remains on your device.
Your data remains on your device until you delete it within the App, delete your account, or uninstall Tonic. Using the in-app account deletion feature permanently removes the affected account’s profile, vanity data, diary entries, tutorial preferences, and related local records from that device. This action cannot be undone.
Signing out keeps your data on the device so you can sign in again later. Uninstalling the App removes local App data unless your device backup or operating system restores the App container.
We use reasonable technical measures within the App to protect locally stored information, including hashed password storage for email accounts. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, operating system, and sign-in credentials.
You may review, edit, or delete much of your information directly in the App. You may also:
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. Because Tonic stores most data locally, exercising those rights may primarily involve actions you take within the App or on your device.
Tonic may be available in multiple regions. Local data stays on your device regardless of where you use the App. Platform Store billing is subject to the policies of Apple, Google, or the store operator in your region.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of Tonic after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
